Frequently Asked Questions

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. For footwear, we recommend dance shoes with suede or leather soles, though trainers with smooth soles work well for beginners. Avoid rubber soles as they can stick to the floor.

No partner required! Most of our students come alone. We rotate partners during class so everyone gets to dance with different people, which actually helps you learn faster and become a more versatile dancer.

You'll be able to dance basic Bachata after your first class! Most students feel comfortable social dancing after 2-3 months of regular classes. Like any skill, the more you practice, the faster you'll improve.

Traditional Bachata focuses on footwork and hip movement with a closer embrace. Sensual Bachata incorporates body waves, isolations, and more dramatic movements. We teach both styles, starting with traditional basics before introducing sensual elements.

Absolutely! Our beginner bachata classes are designed for people with zero dance experience. Our instructors break down every move step-by-step, and the supportive atmosphere makes learning fun and stress-free.

We recommend attending bachata lessons at least once a week for steady progress. Many students attend 2-3 classes weekly to accelerate their learning. Social dance nights are also great for practicing what you've learned.
